I really like how this came together. For me, it captures the thrill of not only the motion and fluidity of skiing, but the awesomeness of being up on the mountain, with Corbett's Couloir tantalizing up above. I like the sweeping motion of the telemark skier as the feature, with a circular motion in the lower right as one anticipates where the two skiers will go. This motion then kicks the attention up to the cliff faces and Corbett'sto explore. There is a sense of gravity, grace, and a whole interaction with the mountains.
PS. I plan to offer these first as an entire collection of 52 weekly paintings, then in groups of 12 (1 season, 12 of one type, like wildlife or the Tetons), then groups of 4 (1 month), then individually.
